"Each brushstroke is a form of meditation — a way to celebrate the growth we experience when we stay rooted in our foundations."
My art is a tribute to the beauty of the natural world and the heritage of the place I call home. The name Poplar & Iris honors the landscape of Middle Tennessee — drawing inspiration from the strength of our state tree and the delicate elegance of our state flower.
As a watercolor artist, I find my greatest inspiration in the quiet, intentional details of creation. My work is a journey of reflection, where botanical subjects often serve as a bridge to my scripture work. Whether I am painting a vibrant study for a kitchen collection or a symbolic narrative piece, each brushstroke is a form of meditation — a way to celebrate the growth we experience when we stay rooted in our foundations.
Beyond the Studio
A teacher, a coach,
and a quiet table.
When I am not at my drafting table, my days are spent in the classroom and on the athletic field. Balancing life as a full-time teacher and coach keeps me moving at a fast pace, but the watercolor studio is where I find my stillness. This creative practice is my sanctuary, allowing me to slow down and live out the same message of patience, growth, and grace that I share with my students and athletes every day.
Our Commitment to Quality
Printed with the
same care as the original.
To ensure that the spirit of the original painting carries through to your home, every fine art print is reproduced with the highest integrity. Each piece is printed using professional-grade pigments on 100% cotton paper, chosen for its beautiful tactile texture and archival, museum-quality finish.
I hope these pieces serve as a reminder of the beauty found in the familiar — and the peace that comes from a life grown in grace.
